Settling at Nursery
It is our philosophy that the transition of care from home to Happy Days should be as simple as possible – for both the comfort of the child and the parent.
To facilitate this we offer a number of free ‘settling in’ sessions, before your child officially joins us plus a home visit with your child’s Key Person. These allow everyone to become acquainted and your child to start to familiarise themselves with the setting and the staff.
Let us help
We appreciate that the first days leaving your child in any other environment can be difficult for you as well, so please do talk to our staff that will be able to offer advice from experience about how best to manage the situation.
In our experience
To help your child settle we do ask that they attend a minimum of two sessions a week, on separate days – e.g. one morning and one afternoon. From our experience anything less than this can make it difficult for the child to settle.
